Language: English

Description
This event will contextualize the United Nations Permanent Forum for People of African Descent (UNPFPAD) with our work in the Reparations Movement in the United States. The event will be in-person with limited capacity. Robin Rue Simmons, an international leader in the Reparations Movement and the former Alderman of Illinois, will be featured in a video presentation that informs local reparations in the United States. The focus of the event is a discussion about the historical significance of the United Nations and the UNPFPAD. This informal conversation will help to unpack the potential impact of this historical moment in time.
